TRANS VOICES

Visit trans voices

TRANS VOICES is a creative organisation founded by ILĀ and Coda Nicolaeff reclaiming spaces where trans perspectives are rarely heard. The collective is part of the London Contemporary Voices family. Most recently, TRANS VOICES was featured in the Barbican exhibition Feel the Sound with UN/BOUND, an immersive sound installation shaped by quantum technology and artificial intelligence that asks what is sacrificed and what is reclaimed in the pursuit of liberation and self-determination.

TRANS VOICES launched officially in Spring 2022 with ‘Reclaim’ - a Guardian Films music documentary that centres on trans joy in the context of the organisation’s debut project at Union Chapel, London. The organisation has been championed by Mary Anne Hobbs at BBC Six Music and featured in the Camden Roundhouse’s 2022 Beyond and Between season alongside Jean Paul Gaultier’s critically acclaimed Fashion Freak Show and collaborated with leading artists including Olly Alexander, HAAi, and Kesha.

TRANS VOICES has performed at Tate Britain, Royal Opera House, Kew Gardens, and the Barbican.

TRANS VOICES is available for commissions, collaborations, performances, and workshops, as well as corporate activations. Get in touch.
